Andreas Koutsoudakis is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Division. He focuses his practice on commercial and employment litigation, and also represents clients in civil rights and personal injury matters.
Mr. Koutsoudakis handles matters including U.S. Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division and New York Department of Labor audits and litigation, New York State Division of Human Rights investigations, employment-at-will and wrongful discharge issues, as well as harassment and discrimination claims. He also represents clients involved in various business disputes including partnership and membership disputes, and breach of contract claims. Some of his clients include restaurant owners and managers, food distribution companies, artists, and contractors.
While in law school, Mr. Koutsoudakis was a Member of the St. Thomas Law Review and the recipient of numerous Best Student Awards. He completed a joint degree (JD/MBA) program in less than three years, and graduated at the top of his class. Because of his business background, he is able to properly counsel his small business clients taking into consideration both the business and legal issues involved in their business.
Currently, Mr. Koutsoudakis is an Executive Committee Member of the New York State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. He volunteers at local non-profit organizations, and is a monthly columnist for a national Greek magazine. Mr. Koutsoudakis is fluent in Greek.
