Ann M. Schneider graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with Honors and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She was elected Vice President of her class and gave the commencement address in December 1981. She attended Rutgers School of Law, Newark, graduating in 1986. She served as an Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter and studied Constitutional Law with Professor Arthur Kinoy.
She has dedicated her professional career to representing working class clients and to serving the union movement. She has serviced members of Teamsters, LIUNA, SEIU. and DC37. She has also represented thousands of private individuals battling mortgage fraud, fighting for housing rights, visitation rights and consumer rights.
She is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey and in 1994, she was admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court.
She is thorough and efficient in handling matters in Family Court, Civil and Supreme Court. She specializes in matrimonial actions, contested and uncontested, from start to finish. She is a seasoned litigator and has tried cases before Supreme Court judges in all five boroughs and the surrounding counties. She is highly experienced in handling ancillary matters like real estate transfers, custody and child welfare proceedings.
